Financial Transparency

Transparency
We’d rather show you than ask you to trust us.
When you give to a cause, you deserve to know where it goes — that’s a standard we hold ourselves to, not a box we tick. GLITTER is produced by LiTLevents with one purpose: to raise funds for Foundry Snuneymuxw, an Indigenous-led youth health and wellness centre coming to Nanaimo. Here’s exactly how the money moves: where it comes from, what it costs to stage, and what reaches the cause.
Where the money comes from — and where it goes
GLITTER raises money four ways: ticket sales, sponsorships, the live auction, and donations. A night worth attending costs something to stage — the venue, production, food, and drink that bring people through the door and move them to give generously. Those production costs are simply part of delivering a high-quality fundraising gala. They come first; everything beyond them supports Foundry Snuneymuxw through our registered charitable partner, the Kw’umut Lelum Foundation — not LiTLevents, the production company.

What your ticket buys
A GLITTER ticket isn’t a donation — it buys you an evening: a 90-minute show, performances, appetizers, drinks, and a live auction at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre. Because you receive something of value in return, the ticket price is not tax-receiptable.
Want to give directly? At checkout you can add an optional donation on top of your ticket — 100% of which goes to the cause through our charitable partner. See also Donate at Kw’umut Lelum Foundation.
Independently audited
Our GLITTER 2026 finances are independently reviewed by Brent Rushton, CPA, who reconciles all event revenue against expenses to confirm the net amount transferred to our charitable partner. Brent Rushton, CPA
We’ll report back
After September 12, 2026, we’ll publish the actual amount raised and transferred to Kw’umut Lelum Foundation. A promise to a community is only as good as the follow-through.
Where the funds land
Net proceeds support Foundry Snuneymuxw through Kw’umut Lelum, our registered charitable partner — an Indigenous-led organization stewarded by nine Coast Salish Nations, including Snuneymuxw. Foundry Snuneymuxw will be a no-cost, no-referral, no-waitlist health and wellness centre for youth aged 12–24, currently in its permitting and fundraising phase.
A track record you can check
Across past events — Brilliant!, SHINE, and RED — LiTLevents has raised more than $4 million for Vancouver and Vancouver Island causes.
