We're beyond excited to have Jona Kristinsson as one of the many incredible performers joining the GLITTER stage this year. With more than 35 years of professional experience, Jona is an Icelandic–Canadian vocalist, songwriter, producer, and vocal coach based right here in BC — known for a powerful, emotionally expressive voice and a stage presence that commands a room. Across a career spanning blues, soul, pop, rock, and jazz, she's lent her voice to countless recordings and productions as a featured vocalist, bandleader, and producer for other artists. She also continues to mentor the next generation of performers as a vocal coach and musical director. Jona is just one name on a stacked lineup we can't wait to share more of — head to glitterevent.com to see the full talent roster and all the details on this year's event. | |

| Supporting Mental Health For Youth in NanaimoThe statistics are sobering: more than 70% of mental illness develops by age 25, and suicide is the second leading cause of death among young Canadians. In BC alone, over 950,000 children and youth are impacted by mental health issues annually, yet only about 40% receive appropriate service — a gap reflected nationally too, where an estimated 1.2 million Canadian children and youth are affected by mental illness and less than 20% receive appropriate treatment. That's why GLITTER 2026 is partnering with Foundry Snuneymuxw — one of four Indigenous-led Foundry centres in BC — which brings mental health support for everyone, primary care, peer support, and social services together under one roof for youth ages 12–24, with no referrals, no waitlists, and no stigma. Our September 12, 2026 event is timed to build on that momentum, with proceeds going toward construction of the new Foundry building.
Your ticket to this event supports this worthy cause.
