We acknowledge with gratitude that Nanaimo is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation, whose people have cared for these lands and waters since time immemorial.

We honour the Snuneymuxw people, their enduring connection to this place, and their leadership in community, culture, and stewardship. As we gather for GLITTER, we do so with respect, humility, and gratitude, recognizing our shared responsibility to build a more inclusive, caring, and equitable future together.
